Joseph Binder Award 2014 honoured 38 works: FF Franziska and Muriza win gold and silver.
In an official award ceremony on 23 October 2014, altogether 690 submissions from 29 countries received finally 9 awards in gold, 14 in silver, and 13 in bronze, as well as 43 distinctions.
In the filed of type design the modern textface FF Franziska received gold, the slab serif Muriza (with Jürgen Schwarz) won the silver award and Anton Studer’s Rekja was honoured with bronze.
Selected works will be on display until 23 November 2014 at designforum Wien. The competition is documented in a catalogue featuring all of the nominated works and the members of the international jury.
